Submission Information

ILC will produce one volume each spring, which will be available through SURFACE, Syracuse University’s institutional repository, with open access for all. Information on upcoming issues, calls for submissions, and opportunities to get involved can be found on our website and Syracuse University Libraries’ social media.

How to Submit

Calls for submissions will be shared each fall, along with specific themes or requirements for the upcoming issue. When submissions are open, authors can send completed pieces to ilcollab@syr.edu as an attached editable text file (ex. .DOCX). Submissions are generally formatted in 12 point font and double spaced, and tend to range from 6,000 to 10,000 words. In the text of the email, submitters should be sure to include the following:

  • Name
  • Institution
  • Article/Submission Title
  • Contact Information

In order to aid the double-anonymized peer review process, we ask that submitters refrain from including identifying markers such as name or institutional affiliation on the submitted file.
