Copyright Notice and Licensing
As a condition of publication in Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning, all author(s) hereby agrees to the following terms of licensing/copyright ownership:
- First rights of publication for the article and all related materials are granted to Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning Journal. Copyright for all work published in the Journal is retained by the author(s).
- Works published in Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning will be distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC-BY 4.0), and will follow all guidelines under this license.
- By granting a CC-BY license in their work, author(s) retain the copyright ownership of the work, but give explicit permission for others to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the work as long as the original source and author(s) are properly cited. No permission is needed from the author(s) or the publishers for such uses.
- According to the license terms, any reuse or redistribution must indicate the original CC-BY license, the original source and author(s) (a complete citation including Excelsior and the author(s)). Authors may enter into separate contractual agreements with the journal for non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work, with an acknowledgement that the initial publication was in Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning.
Permissions and Rights
Authors are responsible for receiving all permissions for content within their articles, and sending written electronic documentation of permissions. If authors do not have the right to re-use content included in their article(s), permissions are necessary.
Author Rights
Authors retain copyright of their works. Posting their own works in institutional/disciplinary repositories or on own websites is allowed. The final published version (post-print) may also be posted as soon as the issue is released in Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning, and include a citation and link to the final published version.
