Description/Abstract
Nepal is highly vulnerable to earthquakes, yet construction affordability there remains a major challenge. The revised NBC 105:2025 introduced improved seismic design requirements compared with NBC 105:1994. However, the increased seismic demands require larger structural members and additional reinforcement, resulting in higher costs.
