Description/Abstract
Currently, the agendas of local governments in Argentina are homogeneous, prioritizing activities that allow the income of foreign currency and leaving out the planning and economic development of indigenous peoples. The communities live in areas close to agricultural zones that have undergone processes of deforestation of native forests This has resulted in the reduction of resources for the indigenous communities and the loss of customs and cultural elements such as language, and traditional diet. Geographic information technologies are a useful tool to analyze space from an integral approach and to understand the dynamics that occur in it. Projects that synthesize local knowledge and technologies are a window of opportunity to build inclusive development thinking about food security, indigenous autonomy and democratization of digital tools.
