Description/Abstract

Biophilic design is not a luxury, it is a necessity for our health and well-being. We need hospitals where patients heal faster, schools where children score higher on tests, offices where employees are more productive, communities where people know their neighbors and are more aware of their families thriving. It is imperative that we see ourselves as biological beings and not just as humans. Biophilic design shows how to create healthy and productive living spaces for the modern person while fostering a sense of belonging. By embracing this design principle, we are unconsciously reconnecting with nature, while creating environments ideal for humans.
