Abstract
The paper titled “Soft Thorns: Uncovering Vulnerability” summarizes my creative journey and evolution in the art field, as well as how I used various art forms to heal myself during my three-year graduate study. It supplies a detailed account of my artworks created during my time at Syracuse University, including my final work, Soft Thorns. Despite undergoing significant changes in my art style and work due to the passage of time and external influences, the fundamental essence of my artwork has remained centered around exploring my inner emotions and battling mental conflicts. Through experimenting with various artistic mediums such as photography, collage, video, and sculpture, I have found a way to indirectly express my vulnerable side and used them as powerful tools for self-expression that have allowed me to connect with myself on a deeper level.
