Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to examine the background, process and technique of my final project, a children’s book titled “Someday I Will Fly”.

First of all is my personal introduction, including my background, preferences, reasons why I started to be an illustrator, and art forms that influenced me. This part will be described in much detail to let everyone know more about me. Then I will share my drawing habits and process. Because the way I work is digital drawing, and I want my drawings to look like traditional drawings, I need to add a lot of materials made in traditional ways on my digital drawings. This step and process will also be written in this thesis. At last, I will introduce the details of this children's book, including his conceptual design, character introduction and story line. In this chapter, I will also introduce the process of drawing this children's picture book, starting with sketch, and gradually introduce it.
