Abstract
This paper is an introduction to my personal experiences of growing up on an industrial dairy farm surrounded by animals and immigrant workers. I incorporate how my practice as a multidisciplinary artist has been shaped by my father’s veterinarian background and knowledge of large animals. This is followed by insight into my relationship to the female reproductive system, the body gone wrong, decay and death, and ending with my most recent work, using the home and displacement to discuss the cyclical nature of a dairy farm and its connections to humans.
