Description/Abstract
Roger McDonough relates the changes to academic libraries that confronted librarians in the early 1970s. Along with problems of civil unrest, the libraries were faced with shrinking budgets and drastic changes in library methodology. He also cites sources which were reticent to the upcoming integration of computers in libraries, suggesting computers create redundancy and irrelevant information retrieval.
