Description/Abstract
This study focuses on how small business leaders perceive employing people with different disabilities. The authors analyze attitudes, stereotypes, and concerns that influence hiring decisions. They find that employers often feel more comfortable hiring people with mobility impairments than individuals with mental health or cognitive disabilities. The paper suggests that targeted education and inclusive hiring supports could reduce bias and guide more equitable employment practices.
