This paper suggests that there is a significant “turn” in media representation of disabled people which can be attributed to new forms of agency taken on by disabled actors such as Warwick Davis in the “dwarf mockumentary” Life’s Too Short, who are able to bridge embodied life experience and fictional comedic performance.
