Description
Both seasons of American Horror Story have included and focused on characters with disabilities. I will be exploring the meaning of these representations and what they say about the horror genre and what they say about people with disabilities. Are we objects of horror? Or is ableism the object of horror? And what does it mean when so many of the mental health professionals within the series are evil/incompetent. The same goes for medical professionals.
