Description/Abstract
Architecture Fall 2013 Lecture Series - September 25, 2013 at Slocum Hall. In "A Country of Cities," architect and planner Vishaan Chakrabarti argues that well-designed cities are the key to solving America's great national challenges: environmental degradation, unsustainable consumption, economic stagnation, rising public health costs and decreased social mobility. Chakrabarti has extensive experience in public and private sectors. He is a partner at SHoP and Director of Columbia University's Center for Urban Real Estate (CURE).
