Description/Abstract
Architecture Spring 2014 Lecture Series - February 7, 2014 at Slocum Hall. Michael Young is a NYC architect and educator. He is a founding partner of Young & Ayata, focused on both speculative research and architectural proposals. Young currently teaches studios and seminars at The Cooper Union, Yale University, and Princeton University. His drawings have been widely exhibited. Michael Young's lecture will present an aesthetic position in contemporary architectural design based on the questions of realism and the tensions produced through estrangement.
