Abstract

Some memories of my childhood stand out very clearly, and those are the ones I wrote about. These pieces were suggested by Keith Gilyard's book Voices of the Self which Chris Madden had us read as part of our writing course. Another voice that influenced my writing was Jean Shepherd through his books about growing up in Northern Indiana.
