Abstract
In response to the high cost of textbooks, difficulties obtaining books, and pressures from the state legislature, a community college ESL program adopted Open Educational Resources (OER) for 9 courses over a six month period, and was officially implemented in fall 2021.This article will cover the benefits of OER, steps of implementation, materials, and lessons learned.
