Article Title
Transcription of a Conversation Overheard in a Crowded Coffee Shop Between a Long-Winded Person and an Ostensibly Interested Person
Abstract
My writing studio assignment called for me to write a lyrical essay. At first, I thought I'd have to use something such as rhyme or alliteration for my essay to sound lyrical. But then I realized that there was a lyrical quality evident in just a person speaking. I wanted my essay to read like a script of an actual conversation. The idea behind the title came to me as I was reading my final draft and visualized where a conversation like this would take place and who would be involved. I'm hoping the reader gets a sense of the personality of my main character just by reading their extensive thoughts on laughing and crying.
