This thesis focuses on virtual avatars, discussing how virtual live streamers and audiences perceive virtual avatars and how these avatars influence both streamers and the audience. More importantly, this thesis explores the role that virtual avatars play in the entire virtual live streaming process that makes virtual live streaming stand out from other forms of live streaming with its unparalleled unique charm.
