Abstract

This thesis examines the interplay of Russian military history from the time of the Japanese War of 1904-1905 to the Russian Socialist Revolution of 1917 and the political climate Tsar Nicholas II had to endure and the roles the military played balancing the “public” reformers and the aristocracy.
