Description/Abstract

The vestibule is constructed of Tennessee marble and ornamented with marble columns and pilasters of Doric style extending to the cornice. The vestibule, which is twenty-two feet deep and sixty feet long, is wainscoted with Tennessee marble and scagliola work in marble. The ceiling is paneled by heavy Doric cornices. (Syracuse Daily Orange, Vol. IV, No. 124, March 14, 1907).
